Tempest - Cascades Ambassador Program
Mission & Goals
The Youth Ambassadors Program empowers young athletes to become leaders and advocates for ultimate in their communities. By participating, they’ll build meaningful connections, develop valuable life skills, and help inspire the next generation of players.
- Grow the sport of ultimate! Increase visibility and engagement for ultimate frisbee within Seattle area schools.
- Meaningful connection between young ultimate players and Seattle Tempest and Cascades.
- Develop leadership and organizational skills among youth athletes who will steer the next generation.
What does an Ambassador do?
- Community building and fan engagement; help grow Tempest and Cascades fan base by reaching people who are looking to root for a Seattle pro team to root for.
- Be a meaningful part of the next generation of local ultimate. Infuse the Tempest and Cascades community with fresh perspectives.
- Make home games more fun. Contribute to existing home game activations or come up with something new and different!
- Offer behind-the-scenes look for Tempest and Cascades fans who are eager to learn more about the organization and the players.
- Gain first hand experience with professional ultimate on game days. Opportunities to learn about home game operations, production, and media.
- Opportunity/optional: assistant coach elementary school players at one of our three Day Camps in July; Mon-Fri, 9am-noon. Camps listed here.
- Opportunity/optional: full ride scholarship to participate in Overnight Camp on Whidbey Island. More info here.
How to Apply
The youth ambassador program prioritizes current high school juniors and seniors in the Seattle area; up to two students per school. Applications are due March 7th.
This short application is a chance to tell us about your ultimate background and why you're interested in being an Ambassador. We will respond to everyone the following week and reach select applicants with follow-up questions.
The 2026 program begins March 22nd. The majority of activities will take place in March-May, and a couple elements will extend into June-July.

- Jack Brown - Seattle Cascades Player Liaison
Xtehn and Jammie work for Tempest and Cascades as General Manager and Media Manager. They will be the primary points of contact with Ambassadors, and guide the program's goals.
Player Liaisons will participate in monthly meetings and offer first hand perspectives on behalf of Tempest and Cascades players.
