ABOUT:

Seattle Tempest and Seattle Cascades are hosting a five-day Summer Camp July 13-17 at Jefferson Playfield.

We will offer a variety of drills and games suitable for different levels of play, so all experience levels are encouraged to attend. Coaches will be Tempest and Cascades players - learn from the pros!

Players will bring their own lunches, and we’ll have a designated lunch break at 12:30. We will provide snacks throughout the day, including fruit, tortilla chips, bars, and gummy bears.

Players will focus on core skills, teamwork, and purpose-oriented scrimmaging. Sessions may also include in-depth ultimate strategy, explosive body movement, and practicing the mental side of ultimate. We’ll take plenty of water-snack breaks, and there will be lots of time to reconnect with friends and make new ones.

Each day of camp, we run an age-appropriate workshop on either a Social Justice issue or a Social Emotional Learning topic.

Registration is open to elementary school (rising grades 2-5), middle school, and high school students (rising grades 9-12). All genders welcome, including players who compete in the girls division, boys division, and mixed division. *** Read more about Divisions/groups on our Day Camps FAQ page.

With plenty of players in each grade, we’ll group campers by grade/experience so that competitions and activities are enjoyable for everyone.

CHECK IN:

When you arrive each day, we'll greet each player and check them off our list. Kids will be supervised from that point until they are picked up at the end of the day.

CHECK OUT:

At the end of each day, we'll let kids go when we see them with a parent/guardian, or when they tell us that they are planning to walk home. Naturally, we'll stick around until every player is accounted for.

WHAT TO BRING:

- A sack lunch. (We'll provide snacks throughout the day.)
- Cleats or athletic shoes for playing on artificial turf.
- Appropriate clothing. Keep an eye on the weather.
- A water bottle. (We'll provide coolers for re-filling your bottle.)
- An appetite for good sportspersonship and strong competition!
